What is the diameter of Austrian 1 ducat coins?

I'm thinking of ordering some Austrian one ducat coins from APMEX since they are advertising them for $1.99 over spot. I want to also order air tite holders for them but the APMEX sight doesn't have their diameter listed. What are their diameter? 16mm? 17MM?

20 mm.

Get the 4 ducat too. That's my favorite gold coin.

They must be fairly thin to be 20mm in diameter. What's the diameter of the 4 ducat?

Thanks for the info. APMEX must currently be sold out of the 4 ducat. I'm not seeing any listed.

The 4 ducat is the size of a silver eagle

The 1 ducat is roughly the size of a British sovereign....or about the size of a nickel.

The British sovereign is roughly the diameter of a nickel, but no where near as thick as a nickel -- in other words, it is a thin coin. So the 1 ducat, having less than half the gold content of a British sovereign, must be really, really thin! Unless it is alloyed with a lot more of something.

Ducats are 23k pure. They are very thin.

By size, I meant diameter. Should've specified...
